In spite of the below average ratings on portability and durability as compared to other camping board games, we LOVE this Monopoly National Parks Edition Board Game because of the unique character of the game as it directly relates to camping!
It is played like the traditional game but this one features National Park locations.
The traditional version of this game has railroads, this one has outdoor activities like hiking and climbing.
Along the same lines, Community Chest and Chance have become Battlefield Parks and Historical Sites.
Additionally, this fun version has replaced houses with cabins and hotels with ranger stations.
Over 60 Parks are highlighted throughout the game which also includes information about each Park and an educational component of matching animals to the Parks they inhabit!

In the Camp Board Game, players work their way through the forest as one of the eight animal characters (Sassy the Squirrel is my personal favorite) and answer fascinating trivia questions about camping on their journey.
This game is really unique because people of all ages and knowledge levels about animals, nature and camping can play together without being bored because the game is too simple for them … or … frustrated because the game is too challenging for them.
Each player is able to pick the level they will play at … 1 being easy … 4 being the most difficult. As an example, questions about ducks would be something like:
Level 1 question: The card would have a picture of a duck and the player would have to identify what animal is in the picture?Level 2 question: What color is a female duck?Level 3 question: What’s the name of a male duck?Level 4 question: How many types of ducks live in North America?So, for that reason, this is an awesome board game for the entire family to play together!

This Portable Backgammon Set has a “board” that is made from canvas and includes a strap with a snap so you simply roll it up and fasten the snap for transportation and storage.
When the game is open, the canvas is heavy enough that the playing surface lays flat.
